Thank for dropping by my blog for the Holiday Gifts of Love!

I wanted to wish everyone Happy Holidays! I love this time of year. Here in Arizona, I really enjoy how the weather cools down and it’s actually chilly when I go outside.
One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is bake with my two children. We seem to have made it a tradition to bake Applesauce Cake and Oatmeal Bread every year, no matter what. Those two scents bring back so many happy memories. I hope this year I can create more memories with my family and I hope you are also blessed with moments to cherish.
I would love to hear what you do for the holidays and what you are reading right now. Happy hopping everyone!
Shrouded in Darkness – set in Northern Arizona with lots of snow to get you in the spirit. Granted, you might want to duck under the blankets from fear more than the cold!
Winner of the Ready-Set-Go Peninsula RWA Contest
Finalist in the Suzannah North Louisiana RWA Contest
1st place in Peninsula RWA Chapter’s contest.
Jake Preston is on borrowed time. If he doesn’t stumble upon a miracle and soon, he’ll endup dead. And even if he does, he still might end up dead with a clever killer hounding his heels. He believes that the one miracle and antidote to save him is in Margot Davenport’s house, across the country and miles away from Boston. Somewhere locked in her home is the key to reversing an experiment that is killing him with each breath he takes.
Margot doesn’t particularly care if she ends up dead. She’s lost everything she’s ever cared for. A divorce and the loss of her job as a corporate lawyer has left her with little faith in herself or in anyone else. Most importantly, she’s lost the one person on this earth she’s looked up to and cherished–her brother, Johnny. His death in a car accident has devastated her, and she can’t find the willpower to pull herself from the chasm she’s fallen into. Her only solace is at the bottom of a wineglass. Having moved back to the small town in northern Arizona where she was raised, she’s made a point of isolating herself both mentally and physically from everyone other than a few chosen friends. Little does she know that her life is going to explode into chaos and the person behind Johnny’s death is coming after her.

You are so right, there are certain smells that just seem to go with the holidays like pine, cinnamon, pumpkin, and apple. I love all the smells from baking too, especially when someone bakes homemade bread or rolls. Those scents just seem to go with the holidays, and almost seem out of place any other time of the year. I look forward to those smells and what goes with them all year round.

One of my favorite Christmas Romance Books is The Untamable Rogue by Annette Blair! The story is about Ashford Blackburne Fifth Earl and he has to get married and get his willing bride pregnant before Christmas or his grandfather won’t let him inherit his money. Ash truly needs to inherit the money because his late father squandered it all away and he is taking care of his mother. After getting stood up at the alter, again, Ash and his friends go to the local pub where the owner plays a drunken Ash in a card game…his consolation prize is the pubs daughter Larkin, who he wants to get ride of. Ash has to learn to forgive…Larkin has to learn how to trust…can two completely different people find love together. This is a cute, extremely funny, romantic story with a surprise Christmas ending!

I would love to bake for the holidays. Unfortunately, after lighting the kitchen on fire (twice) I no longer am allowed to use the oven. Before you jump to conclusions, I am 38 so I am allowed to be on here without parental consent! LOL This year, as usual, we will go to the boyfriend’s family’s home and open presents and eat. I am currently reading about five books at once and not one is grabbing me. I am not sure if it is the books I am picking or if it is me.
Thanks so much for the great giveaway and being a part of the hop.
Happy Holidays to you and your family,

Baking is one of my holiday traditions too! To me, Christmas smells like a pine tree and baking gingerbread cookies. Without my family’s special foods, it just wouldn’t be Christmas.
